We didn’t get an Oscar… but we did get this!

It’s award season! And while we’d obviously love to be up for Best Actress at the Oscars, we’re pretty happy with this.

We’ve been nominated for not one, but twoawards. Yep two (cue hair flip over shoulder)!

The Local Business Awards and the Small Business Champions Awards

We’re basically having our own little Margot Robbie moment, collecting nominations left, right and centre.

We also decided to push past the whole tall poppy thing for a second and actually say it out loud… this means a lot to our team for different reasons.

“The Brandshake team works hard day in and day out to deliver best-in-class results for our clients. It's so exciting and validating for that to be recognised with these award nominations.” Christina - Marketing Manager at Brandshake.

The Local Business Awards nomination for Outstanding Marketing Services hits in a very specific way because it’s driven by popular vote. The kind of vote that doesn’t send you straight back to high school trying to crack the “in group” (or was that just me). This one actually means something.

It reflects the clients, partners and community who’ve backed us, trusted us with their brands and taken the time to support what we’re building. You can’t fake that because it comes from real relationships and creating results for our clients, which is kind of the whole point for us.

The Small Business Champions Awards nomination for Excellence in Marketing Services is a different energy.

We can’t just rely on people liking us here because this is judged. Think Winter Olympics ice dancing, but instead of sparkly costumes and lifts, it’s strategy, execution and impact being put under the microscope.

Thankfully, no one at Brandshake needs to attempt a TikTok dance, let alone an ice routine, so we’ll stick to what we’re good at.

What this nomination means is that our work is being assessed by people who actually understand what goes into good marketing behind the scenes.

So between the two, it feels like both sides of what matters to us are being recognised. The relationships we build and the standard we hold ourselves to.

“What makes both these nominations special is that it captures two sides of the business. The trust people place in us and the work that happens behind the scenes to deliver on that. You don’t get one without the other and it’s nice to see both recognised”. Gabby - Marketing Manager at Brandshake

We’re proud of the work and just as proud of how we show up to do it.
